    Thank you for the plugin!

I have a site where there are custom user roles.

    For instance..

My average user just has access to the directory, searching it, commenting and rating on it as well. I do not want them to have the add a listing functionality. I want to hide that?

Also, my biggest need is this:

I want to allow a user role (site manager) to be allowed to edit all listings from the front-end rather than just the user who created the listing. Can I do that as well?

So, to recap, that is hide the create a listing from normal users (subscriber) and allow the edit listing button for all users with the role (site manager).

    Are these things possible?

    Thanks again for the plugin!

    Hi @jasonbrogdon,

Sorry that you ran into issues here!

BD doesn’t currently support custom user role behaviors like these, unfortunately. You would have to customize the plugin to do that yourself, as that is a specific use case that wouldn’t be generalized to all BD users.

We do support allowing admins and editors to manage the listings, but they can also change the directory settings as well. That’s as close as we have right now.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
