Can I call do_shortcode function within widget

Hi,
I want to call a do shortcode function within the widget?
Essentially I want to get_post_meta to get custom field value and based on the custom field value want to call do_shortcode(“[myshortcode param=”&$value&”]);
Want to check if that will work?
