I have a website and connected blog and forum
    https://authorsonshow.com/

My problem is I need people to update it all the time as I can’t do this HTML and CSS thing. I can handle the blog no problem it’s the rest that a real problem.

I want to be in control of my own website and have given the link for you to take a look and tell me if what’s on there is possible in WordPress.
I have paid for my domain name and would like to stick with that as it is already well known now and also my hosts. Is all that possible?
As you can hear, I am a total idiot with all of this.

    Thank you. Lorraine

  • I took at look at your site and it would be rather easy to convert your current html to wordpress using your current domain and host (well depending on what kind of support and specifics your host offers)

There are a lot of DIY guides on the net, or you can find a someone to do it for you ?? which if I have the time could probably do it for you, in a day or two (depending on if I have the block of time to do it). Hopefully you figure it out if not let me know ??

Really? And is it as simple as doing a blog or would I need to know some HTML etc? The blog I just upload, add text, add widgets already coded that I just copy and paste. I want it that simple. I NEED it that simple-ha ha.

Is WordPress that easy to use?

I am delighted I can keep my domain name and host. Thank you for that.

Oh, I use Krystal Hosting, don’t know if you know them? Brilliant reputation

I checked the site out (hosting) a little while ago ?? and wordpress is so simple to use and easy to learn. Widgets are drag and drop (as long as your wp theme is widget ready) and plugins are just as easy as copying and pasting some code (usually a line or two in a designated area). Let me know if you want some help converting your site to wordpress.

Thank you for your advice. My site is almost finished and ready to go ‘live’ on Wednesday.
I can’t believe how much easier this is to use. Thanks.
