Can I change the URL of my site and have all the permalinks change also?

    I need to chnage the url of my site.

    I have both the old and new urls hosted with the same hosting company and I have done a fresh install of WP on the target url.

    I just changes name servers so will need to wait 24 hours to access the new wp back end.

    My question for now is very simple. Can I achive this migration without having to rewrite any of the work that is already done.

    If the answer is an emphatic yes then I can ask a few more questions.

    In particular I would need the old permalinks to change their root only.

    chanking to

    https://www.mynewsite.com/permalink

    No incoming links have been generated so no need for Cname changes or anything like that at this stage.

    You will need change your urls in Settings>>>General and reset your permalinks if you have content like pages and posts they are saved in database as full url so you will need to change them as well I have a article on my website how to change urls in Database.
