Can I delete all .bak files?

    Word Fence has made me aware that I have .bak files that do not belong to the current version of WordPress. There are duplicates of other files but with the extension .bak. Can I delete all these files?

  • Hi,

    Those are probably backup files. You can safely delete them, however, I’d suggest downloading a copy to your computer first.

    Thanks for quick reply! I did a backup and took away all the .bak files. It went well: ??
