Can I delete old WP folder after moving to subdomain?

Hi. I first installed (used Fantastico) my wordpress on the folder /blog – I later learned how to move my WP to a subdomain (https://my.litratos.com) and did it successfully.

Is it safe for me to delete the folder /blog now?

In my fantastico, it still says that my wordpress in installed under the folder /blog … does this mean that when it’s time to upgrade to a new WP, I have to do it manually? (since my WP is now in /my)
