• Hello.

    Can I delete the taxonomy_ entry from the options table?

    I have some sites that are creating these entries in the options table.

    They follow a numerical sequence.

    taxonomy_0
    taxonomy_136
    taxonomy_180

    In the Value column, it looks like this

    taxonomy_0:
    a:2:{s:6:”access”;N;s:5:”roles”;a:0:{}}

    taxonomy_136:
    a:2:{s:6:”access”;s:1:”0″;s:5:”roles”;a:0:{}}

    taxonomy_180:
    a:2:{s:6:”access”;s:1:”0″;s:5:”roles”;a:0:{}}

    And so on.

    What plugin is creating these entries?
    Can I delete them?

    I only mentioned 3, but there are many.

    -before deleting anything, make a completed backup of your site’s database and files.

    -if your webhost does not offer a staging site, you can try a tool like localwp.com to create a private test environment and import your site into it. in the staging or localwp environment you can do some testing to narrow down to which plugin might be creating the unknown taxonomy entries.
