Can i determine the number of posts?

I have a question.
Every 10 minutes there comes a post on my site, so this means 6 posts in a hour. That doesn’t look many on the website. But on my twitter-account this is a bit annoying for the people on my list.
So my question is, can i determine just one post in a hour for example?
