Can I disable translation for categories?

  • Hallo,

    I would like to create my own tamplate for categories on which all posts which are assigned to a category are listed, independent of the language.

    Therefore it would be good if I could create the categories language neutral and only translate the names via the translation table.

    Theoretically, it’s possible either by using a custom wpml-config.xml file or by using a PHP filter pll_get_taxonomies. However, it’s not tested. I am nt sure if the code around the default category would cause issues or not.

    As an alternative you can use a custom taxonomy that you can decide not to translate. This feature is tested.
