Can I downgrade from 2.0 to 1.5

You can turn off WYSIWYG easily enough – go to your profile, and scroll to the bottom. Take the tick out of the “Use the visual rich editor when writing” and click “Update Profile”.

I believe someone wrote a “downgrader” but I don’t recall the details. The official answer would be “you can only go back if you have a backup, and changes made since the upgrade will be lost”

Downgrading is only possible if you kept a database backup and any wp files that you had modified.

I think the issues with WP2 are overblown. I only know of 2 or 3 bugs that affect me.

That’s you, Viper007, and you’re very lucky. I’m getting all kinds of errors that I never had with WP 1.5, so downgrading is looking mighty tempting.

The only reason you’ll get errors is if you didn’t do something properly. 2.0 is rocking my joint ??

well that was it. I haven’t had that many problems with 2.0, just the WYSIWYG feature and certain code.

Well, that may be part of it. The first thing I did was deactivate the WYSIWYG editor as I know my HTML better than it does.

It really also depends on your host. If you have a crappy host like Netfirms, then you find yourself unable to create pretty permalinks…an issue they have finally admitted to but, as of yet, failed to do anything about.
