Can I edit the text translated?

    The translation is done by Google, not by this plugin. The plugin simply asks Google to translate the page. Then the plugin displays the text which was translated by Google.

    One problem you might encounter were such a feature available, is the occurrence of “heteronyms”. Words with the same spelling but with different meanings, depending on their context within the sentence. For example,

    “The bandage was wound around the wound”.?

    The first “wound” means the bandage was wrapped around the injury. The second “wound” is the injury. They are spelled the same but have two different meanings.

    I honestly can’t say I am personally aware of such a feature. ?But will post back if I discover anything helpful.

    Ricardo Castro, there is actually a feature in Google to do this, it’s coming in the next release, but I can set this up for you now – it’s actually in the plugin now, but needs to be “uncovered”.

    I’m going to close this topic as resolved.

    I updated the plugin to version 2.8, which will now offer the ability to edit translations.

    To edit translations, you just need to do the following:

    1. Setup a basic Google account, and then go to this specific Google Translate page here: https://translate.google.com/manager/website/settings

    2. Enter your website then scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Get Code”.

    3. You will see two boxes with code in it: copy the top box of code and place it in the <head> section of your website.

    4. Go to Google Language Translator settings page (in your WP Dashboard) and activate the “Manage Translations” setting.

    5. Navigate to your website where you have the translator and then translate to any language other than your default language.

    6. Hover your mouse over the text and you will see a pop-up box that prompts you to edit any words or phrases on your website.

    7. Navigate back to here: https://translate.google.com. You should see any edited translations on the “Corrections” tab located on the left.

    I hope this help you get started.

    the plugin is working very well,
    in the next version I would recomend an avaiable option for fixing the flags in the top with a minor alteration to the css like this:
