Can I exclude (offset) first 3 related posts from the generated links??

I want to show related posts on two different places. Once place is just below the content and another is in the footer. I want to exclude the already displayed related posts from the list which is to be generated in the footer.

Is there any command to offset(exclude) the first few links??
