Can I get subcats on main shop page?

    Currently I have this plugin and it shows the shop page with Category Headers and then three products from that category listed.
    I would like it, if I could have the Category Headers, then show tiles for the subcategories. Is this possible.

    eg:

    Currently:
    Category 1
    Item 1 | Item 2 | Item 3
    ————————–
    Category 2
    Item 1 | Item 2 | Item 3

    I would like:
    Category 1
    SubCat 1 | SubCat 2 | SubCat 3
    ————————–
    Category 2
    SubCat 1 | SubCat 2 | SubCat 3
