Can I get your opinion on my theme?

I’m working on this for someone, and was hoping to get some opinions.

The theme is based on Hiero, but it’s been heavily modified.

The website is for a local newspaper. Any feedback / honest opinions would be appreciated. If you see anything that could be changed to make it look better please let me know.
