Can I have registered and unregistered comment on my blog?

  • Hello,

    I want to know if I can set up WP so users can leave comments if they’re registered or unregistered.

    This is what I want:

    If you are registered, you leave a comment and your username appears. If you are unregistered, you can still leave a comment, but the name will appear as I designate it (example: ‘Guest Comment’).

    If anyone can tell me if this can be done and how I would really appreciate it!

  • Ummm, it’s built in, not exactly like you want, but it is built in. In the Options > General > uncheck “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” and viola!
