After installing the plugin, beside a button where I put it, I notice there is another floating button on the bottom right of the page. I found the Display Floating Switch option in Settings which says “Enable Floating dark mode switch in frontend for toggling between dark and light mode” and I toggled it off. But the button is still there. How could I hide it? Because it conflicts with other buttons on my site.

    Hi there!

If the “Display Floating Switch” option is disabled but the button is still visible, this could be a caching issue. Please try clearing your website cache if you’re using any caching plugins.

If the issue persists, could you share your website link with us? We’ll have a look and guide you on how to fix this.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I have cleared cache but the issue still persists. I notice a problem that might be the cause for this issue. After I turn off Display Floating Switch and click Save changes, there is a notification telling it is saved successfully. But when I come back to see the settings, the toggle is still ON. Looks like it does not save the changes.

Could you check if there are any error logs in the console? If possible, please share your site’s URL so we can test it directly.

Additionally, if you could provide your site details – such as the theme you’re using, WordPress version, and PHP version – we can attempt to replicate the environment on our end and troubleshoot the issue more effectively.

We’ve checked the ‘Display Floating Switch’ feature, when disabled, the floating button is hidden from the front end.

For your convenience, we’ve recorded a video showing how to hide the floating switch.

Could you please confirm which version of our plugin you’re using? We recommend using the latest version of the plugin.

Hi, I’ve just updated to latest version of WP Dark Mode (which is?5.1.2) but the issue still remains.

After I reload the dashboard, settings seem to be unchanged. I have recorded a video here.

We’ve tested this issue again from our end, using the latest version of our plugin with your theme, Hideo, and everything worked properly on our end.

Could you please clear your cache, disable the caching plugin, and perform a hard reload (Ctrl+F5)? Then try saving again.

If the issue persists, please try deactivating other plugins one by one to check if any of them may be causing a conflict.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we’re here to assist you further if needed!

    Hi,

It seems impossible to toggle on and off many other plugins to fix just this issue. It does not goes as I expect but I think the topic may be closed now. Thank you all for your support.
