can I hide fields that I don't need?

    I am trying to make a simplified event and all I really want is the title and event description. Is there any way to achieve this? I would ideally like to add an additional field or edit some of the existing fields (at least the labels) but I am not sure how much more difficult this would be. I am comfortable with editing php.

    Currently, there is no easy way to modify fields.

    You can modify the labels by creating a custom PO (translation) file, using software called poedit to “translate” the current text to your desired text, once complete name the file ajax-event-calendar_en_US.po and save to the plugin’s /locale directory.

    Hrm that really stinks…..I have absolutely no use for the venue field or even the address fields since all the events would be from the same place…So I am guessing that making a default or pre-populated field would be difficult too?

    Or you could just make them unrequired via the options panel described in the description of the plugin and shown in the screenshots.

    Actually I didn’t realize that the blank fields don’t show up for people viewing the event. That at least makes it easier. I’ll tinker around more with it more to see what else I can do. Thank you very much for the responses.
