Can I install WordPress in a subfolder of “public_html”?

  • Hi all,
    Sorry if this question is a stupid one but:
    I have a hosting account on which I am testing a joomla install and I’d like to install WordPress to tinker with the theme before installing on a new domain.
    Can I just create a subfolder in my “public_html” and install it there?
