Can I manually upload all content to S3?

Just curious because your lite option only uploads new media. What I just zipped up the wp-content and uploaded to S3? Would it not serve the old media? I am just curious since I am getting started looking at options. I am working on getting S3 solved for all of my sites today and figured I would ask this question. TIA!
