    Hi,

I would like to have a blog where the latest article is on the first page (perhaps the 2 latest) but all others are not, they should go on seperate pages or, preferably, be moved to an archive page.

I am sure this must be possible, probably easy to do, but I haven’t been able to find out how.

Is there anyone who can help?
    thanks much in advance,

    Lekkere Dirk.

  • By it’s nature, all posts are archived so all you need to do is set the Blog pages show at most value to one (1) in Administration > Settings > Reading.

Wow, that’s it! Great and thanks a lot for helping!

Perhaps you can point me to the second part of the question as well, how do I then move the other posts to an archive page that somehow organizes the posts?

I read an article about this but that was targeted to pre 1.5 sites. For post 1.5 sites, it tells to use the sidebar but my current theme doesn’t seem to use the new sidebar issues.

    thanks again,

I did answer that question. All posts are available in your archives. If you use the WordPress Default 1.6 theme, in the sidebar (not using Widgets), you will see the Archives. Everytime you write a post it is available in the archives. If your theme doesn’t display archives, but uses widgets, use the Archives widget.
