Can I preview a new page before wiping the old template?

  • Hi! I have taken over updating our website (simple things – text, gallery images, etc.). I know some basic web development stuff, so I feel www.ads-software.com is fine for me. However, my question is this: Can I preview a new page with a different template BEFORE I wipe the old template? I don’t want to wipe the existing custom-built theme and then have the owner end up disliking what I created. I’d like to show him a preview of what I’ve built before it goes live, but it seems like step 1 is to pick a new template. I don’t suppose I can have multiple templates at one time (even if the new page is not yet live).

  • When you browse the themes available to you in WordPress, you can click “Live Preview” and view the themes available to you.

    Thank you. I was looking for something where they could see the page exactly as it would look live, as opposed to a blank page in the template live preview.
