Okay, so I bought a domain last year, bought hosting, and then made a WordPress site via my hosting provider. It was a monthly hosting plan.

A few months later I didn’t pay for my hosting for a couple months and my hosting account was shut down. Visiting the site now, I only see a landing page, which is understandable because the site is no longer being hosted. However, what I wasn’t expecting is that all trace of my website has just vanished. I tried to login to the WordPress using my old login and password and it says there’s no account with that information (I made a new account to ask this question). I thought I’d at least be able to see the back-end of my website that was no longer live anymore.

If I reinstated my hosting plan, is there some sort of copy of my website somewhere on WordPress or did it just get completely wiped out?

  • If you happened to create a backup after you finished making the site then you’ll have that if you saved a copy of that backup somewhere where you can reach it.

You might also ask your webhost for help.

    Hi,
Option #1: Ask your hosting company to restore your hosting with old WordPresss file.

Option 1#: If you have already website backup then purchase new hosting, point your domain and restore website from backup

Option #3: If you don`t have a backup, hosting company does not able to restore the site then you have to build new a website unfortunately.
    Thanks
