Using Lifter LMS 3.7.5. I am still fairly new to Lifter and LMS in general. I am in the process of creating my site. I’ve got a course that consists of 5 units with 4 lessons in each unit. Is there a way to sell the course, and/or an individual unit of lessons, and/or an individual lesson? If so, if a user buys unit 5 lesson 2 and then later buys unit 5 lesson 1 and 3, will they have access via the course (which lists Units 1-5 and within unit 5 lists lessons 1-4) to all of the ones they’ve purchased? Sorry… a bit confused by how to set up access plans and memberships and such. Thanks!

  • @arielzusya,

You can only sell a course as a whole or a membership as a whole.

Lessons cannot be sold individually. We’ve considered adding this as a feature but haven’t moved into development on that yet.

If you need to sell things in smaller chunks there’s nothing stopping you from breaking what you’re thinking of as one course into multiple courses. You can use course prerequisites to ensure that they’re completed in the correct order and you can then sell them in the smaller chunks as you’re envisioning.

You can also “group” courses together through a membership. EG: get all theses courses for the membership price instead of buying them one by one.

Access plans solved a giant number of problems but I admit due to the complexity of the options it can be confusing…. Have you read Chris’s blog post on 10 access plan examples: https://blog.lifterlms.com/access-models/ and https://blog.lifterlms.com/10-pricing-models-courses-memberships/

    Hope that helps,
