    Hi,
I have a captured audience that I want to allow the ability for them to enter a picture and have it show up in the gallery automatically without admin intervention? Is there any way to do this with this plug-in? I understand that normally you would want dome sort of admin intervention but in this particular application, I want the pictures immediately showing up on the page….

    Thanks for any advice

Yep that’s basically what this plugin does. You can configure the settings to auto-display the submitted images, etc.

Fantastic, will be purchasing once I configure it that way. Thank You

Gosh, not sure how to do this, best I can do is after they post their picture, a “recent posts” link shows up that they can click on to see the picture. I was hoping they can upload the picture, then go to a page (or be redirected to it) so that they can see the gallery with their picture added….

I know this is not generally done and it bypasses the admin approval part, but this is what I would like to see if this plugin can do

Is this possible? if it is can you give me general directions, I don’t need very specific steps but just a few to get me going

    thanks

Is this for free or Pro?

Well, I haven’t bought it yet, I need to make sure this can happen, but if the author tells me it can I will buy it right now and then ask how it can be done. I am not worried about buying it, just worried if I am being clear at what I want to happen.

Just want a group of kids to be able to post their photos of their pets and have them see them immediately as part of all the other pet uploads. I would be personally monitoring it daily to make sure the gallery was appropriate…. If this can happen I will purchase immediately

Actually I was asking only because the functionality of either free vs pro is different. So you can use whichever version you want, it’s totally fine and up to you. Also because the forums here at www.ads-software.com are dedicated to free plugins hosted at the WP Plugin Directory. Support for all other plugins needs to happen off-site. For my Pro plugins, that would be at Plugin Planet.

In any case, for the free version, one way to do what you are after is to leave the setting “Redirect URL” blank so the user is redirected back to the form page. Then on that page you can check for $_GET['success'] and display the post link by grabbing $_GET['post_id'] and using its value with get_post() or similar:

    https://developer.www.ads-software.com/reference/functions/get_post/

If you would rather not do any custom coding, then the Pro version would make it even easier. You would simply enable the setting “Redirect to Post” and the user would immediately be taken to the post that they just submitted. For more information about the Pro version, please contact me via the contact form at the bottom of any page at Plugin Planet: https://plugin-planet.com/

Wow, I would rather pay for easier use and to reward such awesome, timely responses. I don’t get this kind of support for software I pay thousands for…. so I will contact you professionally,

    Thank you

Awesome, thanks Kevin. I am at your service.

Hey, just to follow up on this topic, as I’m looking for a similar fix…

Can the free version allow logged-in users (not admin) to post images directly to a gallery?

I’ve got the plugin installed and it works in the sense that a new post titled “user submitted post” is created, complete with the images I uploaded…but every image submission creates a new post, instead of posting to one page, and ideally, one gallery.

    Any help is much appreciated!

Hey morganinglis, sorry that’s not a feature of the free version, but it could be rigged up with the Pro version if you are able to modify your theme template.

Also note in the future it’s preferred to open a new ticket, rather than posting on closed tickets. Just FYI, thank you for your consideration.

Hey Jeff, awesome. Sorry about posting on the closed ticket, just thought I’d amalgamate the topics in case others were having similar issues and could follow one thread…but I get it! Will do so next time.

    Cool, thanks for understanding ??

don’t know why it is closed, I bought the plug-in but never got instructions on how to do exactly what both of us want. How about explaining how to do this?

The original question was how to auto-display images.. is that what you are wondering? If so, you visit the Uploads tab and enable “Auto Display Images”.

Also, please note that the forums here at www.ads-software.com are for handling questions regarding the free version only. So if any questions about USP Pro, please use the contact form at Plugin Planet (located in the footer of every page). Thank you.
