can i shift my hosting to wordperss?

i have an domain and hosting running, i want to shift my hosting to free wordpress hosting, i mean my domain and wordpress free hosting. is it is possible if yes how i can change my current hosting to free wordpress hosting? and my content will be safe when i am shifting to wordpress?
