can I stick with recaptcha 3?

  • Since I upgraded to reCaptcha version 3 on 11 sites, a lot of spam is coming into their contact forms. So, until I know more about how to deploy version 3 effectively, I would like to go back to using recaptcha version 2. But can I do that with Contact Form 7 5.1?
    I tried – but even though I went back to the Google recaptcha site and deleted the v3 keys, then regenerated new v2 keys and re-entered the v2 recaptcha keys back in Contact Form 7’s integration dialog, the reCaptcha prompt does not display in my contact form again (as it had before I went to version 3). Am I missing something right in front of my nose?

    WORSE, I should have submitted this question to the Contact Form 7 plugin page on www.ads-software.com not the Contact Form 7 Recaptcha page, which I am not using.

    Please ignore this request, I will resubmit under the correct plugin.

    Same issue here. All my clients are getting a lot of spam now. Used to be a few of them would get a spam email here and there. Now all of them have gotten some, a few times a day. I assume it’s Google’s recaptcha, just isn’t that good.
