• Hello,

I’m looking at different WordPress e-commerce plugins (for example, ShopperPress, PHPurchase, WP-osCommerce, etc). Most of them say they turn your WordPress Blog into a Shopping Cart. I’ve looked at several live websites developed with different e-commerce plugins, and I don’t see a Blog page on any of them. My client needs both e-commerce capability AND a Blog. If I go with a WordPress e-commerce plugin, does this mean I can’t have a Blog page? Is there another plugin that would allow me to do this?

Not at all. You can have a cart/store section and a blog. It really depends upon the plugin you use and how you organise the site. For example, eShop allows you to use Pages for your products – leaving your Posts free for use in a standard blog.

    Thanks for your reply esmi.

I took a look at a couple eshop websites and I see what you mean. I’m still wondering if some of the other WP plugins (like the ones I previously mentioned) will let you use pages instead of posts for your products. Does anyone else know about these specifically?
