Can I update PHP from 7.4 to 8.0 ok?

  • If I update the PHP7.4 to 8.0 I am concerned my live site may stop working. Is there a way to test safely? Regards Drachsi

  • First, create a full backup of your website. Then, create a staging site and upgrade the PHP version.

    If this is not possible, you can do this when your website traffic is low, so it won’t have a significant impact on your business.
