Can I update theme?

  • Last year I start with SEO for this website. I didn’t work on site design and WordPress, only SEO. Website is old 3-4 years. Can I update theme and plugins without of loosing the style and appearance or not because the theme is changed from original and I’m not shore how exactly.

    I don’t want to mess anything but i want to update all (WP, theme, plugins..)
    If I will broke the website or theme in that case i will try to find guy who build website, and ask him to update all..

  • It sounds like you don’t have enough information to know if it will be ok or not.

    Better ask the web designer or copy it to a test environment and try the update there.

    The answer is “it depends how they did things”.
