  • In theory, any theme can be updated if you have the necessary PHP, HTML and CSS skills. Having very briefly scanned the theme, it looks like every single template file would need overhauling but it all looks do-able.

    Thank you for your answer!

I don’t have the skills to make that happen and I would have to hire someone. How much do you think something like this would cost me?

I really couldn’t say as we don’t discuss commercial fees on these forums. However, I might be tempted to have a go at updating this theme myself for free if:

    1. It could be added to the Theme Repository here as a free theme for everyone

    2. The icons that the updated theme uses are licensed under GPL or could be replaced with GPL icons. Sourcing the originals for those icons to check on licensing would probably take quite a while, so wholesale replacements might be the best way to go.

If that’s something that interests you, feel free to contact me directly via https://quirm.net/contact/ and we can discuss the icons and any changes to the overall look of the theme that might be nifty. I’ve got a case of “designers block” with the two themes I have under development here, so a side project like this could be fun.

As you mentioned payment/costs, I now do need to close this topic down as it kind of infringes on the Forum Rules. If you wish to open another topic, please feel free to do so. Just don’t mention hiring or money. ??
