    1) With a self-hosted site, can I use Google Analytics by Yoast alongside Jetpack?

    2) On this link https://en.support.wordpress.com/google-analytics/, it says “Google Analytics support on WordPress.com is available as a feature of the WordPress.com Business plan“. Do I understand correctly that this only applies to sites hosted by wordpress.com (i.e. not applicable to self-hosted sites)?

    3) As many of Jetpack modules overlap with features of other plugins (e.g. Limit Login Attempts for security against brute force attack, XML sitemap feature in SEO by Yoast, Contact Form 7), would you recommend using only Jetpack and either delete the overlapping plugin or deactivate overlapping features of other plugins?

Thank you in advance for clarifying.

    Cheers,

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

can I use Google Analytics by Yoast alongside Jetpack?

Sure thing. The 2 plugins are fully compatible with each other.

    That’s correct.

would you recommend using only Jetpack and either delete the overlapping plugin or deactivate overlapping features of other plugins?

That probably depends on the feature, and the plugin.

    1. Limit Login Attempts hasn’t been updated in over 2 years, so it’s probably okay to get rid of that plugin and use Jetpack’s Protect module instead.
    2. Yoast SEO does indeed include a sitemap option, and it comes with some options available in the SEO menu in your dashboard. Jetpack’s Sitemaps module, on the other hand, doesn’t include any option. If you use some of these options, you might want to use Yoast’s module, and deactivate Jetpack’s Sitemaps module under Jetpack > Settings in your dashboard.
    3. Contact Form 7 and Jetpack’s Contact Form module are very similar to each other. If you like one over the other, you can deactivate the one you like less. I’m obviously biased towards Jetpack. ?? I won’t recommend that you deactivate Contact Form 7, though. Instead, you could try both contact form features, and see which one you like better. You can then deactivate the one you don’t need!

    I hope this helps.
