Can I use IP address instead of domain.com in the mapping of the plugin

I am planning to use WP Migrate DB .
I saw the video : https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-migrate-db/
but in my case, i want to test the live site first on the ip before mapping it to a domain. Thus is it possible for me to migrate the db from local to prod by replacing the path of domain.com with the ip address. Plz let me know. Thank you,
