Can I use JSON Web Token for cross domain SSO?

Good morning,
I’d like to use AAM in our WordPress to authenticate 3rd party members based on the following github demo:
https://github.com/ilab-x/hep/blob/master/manual/jwt.mdI’m not sure how easy to implement JSON Web Token in AAM? Is it feasible?
