• This may be a stupid question, but I’ve had a couple backups fail on me so I’m a little overly cautious. Is there any problem with using multiple backup plugins in tandem? I’m just trying to cover my bases as I’d hate to lose my stuff again. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

who is your web hosting company? some managed website hosts offer solutions too.

which backup plugin(s) are you thinking about using?

I use GoDaddy, I haven’t looked into their backup options. I’m currently trying out Backup To Dropbox, but Updraft Plus and Duplicator have been recommended. I think BackWPup is what we used to use, but when our site crashed none of the backups were usable. It caused a huge problem obviously so now I’m looking to be beyond certain we’re safe.

I don’t use any of the plugins you mentioned.
If you install multiple backup plugins, it may slow your website performance.
I am not sure if the ones you mentioned run in the background and use resources.

I typically use one of two paid backup plugins depending on my client’s needs.
VaultPress from Automattic or Backup Buddy from ithemes
