I have my own menu icons and need to add them in and control the size – all possible?

Also with the header can I make that sticky on scroll?

    Cheers

  • Hi there,

In the next version (3.1.1) I have added support for custom menu icons, however I’m not sure what you mean about sizing but it’s likely you can use the Custom CSS section for that.

When you say your own menu icons do you just mean some custom html or are they from a well known source?

In regards the header, you can just change the positioning option to fixed as per the docs page below:

    https://responsive.menu/docs/advanced-setup/header-bar/

    All the best

Thanks peter – when’s 3.1.1 slated for? (it’s quite pressing this end ??

    Hi there,

It’s scheduled for Friday/Saturday in line with my release schedule but that’s only dependent on me being able to fully test it and confirm it’s working without bugs before that time.

I should be able to get it out by then but can’t promise!

    All the best

    Hi Peter
    Thanks for the recent update!
    However, two items please…

    1. How do I find the Menu ID?
    2. Since what I have is a png file – can I use the media url as the path or must I hook it to an online system?

    Appreciate any clarification

    Hey there,

A lot of this is covered in the documentation page below:

    https://responsive.menu/docs/basic-setup/font-icons/

In regards the URL yes you can use the media url – you can use any url you want as long as its valid, but you will need to put the full html in there rather than just a link – i.e:

    Hope that helps

    Hi Peter.
I now have your latest version – thanks.
The attachment in the last reply didn’t make through – could you please try again, or simply write it… I have tried numerous variations as ‘html code’ and cannot get a result (your line in the help docs didn’t really provide any pointers!)
    Thanks

    Hey there,

You just need to put any valid HTML in there – what have you tried putting in there so far?

Not sure if Im allowed to put actual HTML in here which is why I think it wont come through on here.

Could you try to amend your site? It would circumvent any posting issues ??

    Hey there,

    It currently says the below:

The custom option is literally for you to put whatever you please in there as any valid HTML will be accepted. The most obvious example and largest use case is for custom images. Simply type in the html for your image and voila! it will show next to your menu item.

Can you please let me know what would make it easier as the above is pretty much identical to what I’ve been saying here.

    Peter
