Can I use this plugin to solve widgets compatibility?

  • Hello, my theme which is kind of outdated, is not compatible with WordPress latest version, so I am running previous version or wp core. Will this plugin solve my problem? so Will I be able to update wp version to the latest with this plugin installed on?

    If your theme only has issues related to widgets, then this plugin may possibly prevent any errors from appearing related to that.

    I would recommend before updating install the updates that you have on a staging site – a duplicated version of your site used for testing – and not have to worry about your main site being impacted.

    But I don’t have a staging site, How can I have one?

    Hi, halielambert, some web hosting services will offer you a staging site.

    Otherwise, you can use a plugin like WP STAGING – Backup Duplicator & Migration or use a free service like Local by Flywheel which allows you to run a sandboxed version of your site where you can safely perform updates/modifications as you please.
