• HI all

I am not (yet?) a WordPresser, but I have a question.

Way back in 2000 I signed up with Homestead (a WYSIWYG builder/host), and have been with them ever since. BUT their builder and service is rather simple and very limited.

“Things” have changed through the years and now part of me wants to just get rid of all my websites, but they give me a “legacy” price for my years of being with them.

Here’s the thing: I have a ton of storage with Homestead going to waste. AND I have some Blogger blogs I started to go with my web pages to try and make things a bit more “modern”, but I am so sick of Giggle and their games (like making it impossible to earn ad revenue, get traffic, etc) I am ALMOST ready to try and move all the blog posts SOMEWHERE.

And so my question is: if I download the WordPress program, can I use it to first import my Blogger blogs, and then use my Homestead space to host them all? If so, can I then use WP as the blog editor from then on?

I have very little $$ to spend on this little project (especially since now AdSense income doesn’t cover my annual hosting fees anymore). Any thoughts would be appreciated… but please remember though I have had websites for years, I am not a mega-techie, so go easy on me!

    ??

  • I just took a look at their offerings and it is very unlikely that they support wordpress… but you should really be asking them this question they will be able to offer the best answer to it.

That said, if you want affordable WP hosting look at https://www.ads-software.com/hosting/

Sorry for the delay… I figured I would ask just in case. I have learned in the meantime that they have upgraded their site builder with one that makes both mobile-friendly sites AND offer blogs. BUT they are still very limited, thus my looking into WordPress.
