Can I use WordPress to build a blog for my html website?

  • I would like to start a blog about car key replacement, but not sure if I need the whole WordPress installation or is there a way to avoid it.

  • Yes, you need the whole installation. Having said that it’s really not that big for what you get, and I haven’t seen a hosting account yet that can’t handle the size of it.

    @perrik14 if i may ask, why would you like to do away with installing WordPress?

    @perrik14 As your existing static HTML site is very basic, why not do the whole thing in WP, rather than try and bolt WP on as the blogging component? From what I’ve seen, everything you currently have could easily be replicated in WordPress.
