Can I use WP-0-Matic to import an RSS file?

    We have blog posts as static index.html files from 10 years back that I want to import into word press. it’s easy to generate proper XML for these, but the current RSS importer in WP is failing. All posts have the same title “Blog Archives” but they all have different dates and the content node is different. But still the RSS importer is tell us that that posts are already in the database. we are using WP 3.6. Can we use WP-o-Matic to import from a file on disk?

    I should add that we want to poke the category for all these as “Archives” when we do the import.
