Can images be resized to save space?

    I don’t specifically see a setting for this, so I was wondering if it was possible to have the image optimization tool resize images in some way. I realized that I have some 4k+ images on my site that are taking up a lot of space, but they don’t need to be larger than ~1080p size. I know this would drastically save on storage space as well.

    Some image optimization tools such as shortpixel allow you to set a max Length and Width for images and resize accordingly. If this feature is not available for the SG Optimizer plugin, then this might be a great feature to add for the future! I’d also love any recommendations of free tools that can do the resizing.

    Yes, limiting the max size of images is an optimization we have on the roadmap but I can’t give you an exact ETA when it will be available. Monitor plugin updates and the changelog when a new version is releeased ??
