Can insert into main blog area / shortcode?

At the moment there is no shortcode to add your Instagram photos to a post or page. I have added this as a potential future feature enhancement and progress on that can be tracked here: https://github.com/cftp/wp-instagram-widget/issues/9

In the meantime a plugin like this: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/amr-shortcode-any-widget/ seems to allow any widget to be turned into a shortcode and may be what you are looking for.
