    Hi, Can your plugin:

    • Segment subscribers into the blog categories? I only want to send new post notification emails to people who chose for certain categories. When whey chose category A and B, only send new post notifcations emails when a new post is added to category A or B
    • Let the subscriber choose the frequency of emails. For example unlimited, max 1 per day, max 1 per week, etc. And then send an email notification with all posts they ‘missed’.
    • Do double opt-in?

    Regards,
    Marky

  • Hello @marky554,

We’ll be happy to answer your queries.

    > Segment subscribers into the blog categories? I only want to send new post notification emails to people who chose for certain categories.

Yes, Email Subscribers plugin lets you create different post notifications targeting multiple lists for certain categories.

    > Let the subscriber choose the frequency of emails.

Could you let us know how would you like to have this feature and for what kind of emails would you want this feature? Currently, we let users send broadcast, post notifications, post digests and autoresponders and users have full control of those emails.

    > For example unlimited, max 1 per day, max 1 per week, etc. And then send an email notification with all posts they ‘missed’.

Yes, you can create and schedule Post Digests so that subscribers get a digest of posts published in a specific period.

    > Do double opt-in?

Yes, double opt-in is selected by default and you can switch to single opt-in if you wish.

Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to reply back to us.

    Hello,

I’m sorry that I didn’t make myself clear in my last message regarding the frequency of emails. We do not currently have a feature that allows subscribers to choose the frequency of emails.

    Hi there,

I am looking for same function. I don’t want my customers get 10-20 mail-notifications by my site. All my customers would immediately quitt service!
Ok I see, there is no function to let neither the subscriber nor the site-admin choose the frequency of notification.
But: as I am working with external cron, is it possible to set the cron to “once a day” and let email subscribers send all notifications related to new posts in ONE EMAIL ?
I tried to do so, on my site about 10-20 new posts will be created by customers or writers, and if I put the cron on “once a day”, it will send once a day ONE notification for ONE new post. That game would last about 10 days until all notifications would be sent out.
I’m using free version. Maybe Pro-version provides that feature?

    Kind regards, Gunther bildungsserver.net
