  • Hi, the browser might remember the person visiting the download page because of the cached file stored in the temp folder in the computer/laptop but they won’t be able to download the file again. Also there is a feature in the plugins admin settings page named Max Downloads, that allows you to select how many times the file can be downloaded.

Let me know if you need more information.

    Thank you

So how does the plugin count how many times the person has downloaded the file.
If the plugin can remember that the user has made the payment for this product then I am good with it. Please clarify.

When the person clicks on the buy now button.

If the plugin can remember that the user has made the payment for this product then I am good with it. Please clarify.

There is an Orders menu tab available. All the transactions carried out in your site by our plugin are recorded in the Orders menu tab.

Let me know if you need more information.

    Thank you

Can this plugin be tweaked in such a way that it also stores the post-id through which the product is bought ?

Actually I want to use it to show some content on a particular post.
Like I will have a buy this content button on the post and once the user clicks the button and makes the payment then the premium content on that post/page should be visible to him. Similarly all other posts will have such a button but user has to make payment for separately for the post he wants to see the premium content.
I do not want to make separate product buttons for all posts because I already have over 1000 posts.

With one button we can map it to different post-ids that are bought.
    Does it make sense ?

I think this plugin is not really what you are looking for. You need a membership plugin, which manages the post and page content via a membership level. Does this make more sense to you? If it does, then check the following plugin simple-membership. Let me know if this helps you.

I have been searching for the right plugin since many days now.
I do not need a membership plugin because I need to sell content per post basis.
So looking for an option where the user makes the payment and the plugin stores the post-id along the order. This will enable me to check if the user has bought the content of that particular post or not.

Hi, thank you for providing more information.

I do not need a membership plugin because I need to sell content per post basis.

The membership plugin I shared above allows you to sell the the membership level which provides access to the content on a per post basis. For example: Membership level A has access to content in post A. So the member pays for membership level A and has access to the content in post A. I think this is what you are trying to achieve, or did I misunderstand your comment above. You can also have the account in pending mode until you decide to approve it.

If this is not what you are after, let me know and I will submit a message to the developers about your request.

    Thank you

    Thanks for the help.

I have over 1000 posts that I need to sell content on. So do I need to create 1000 membership levels ?

I have replied to your other support thread. Can you mark this support thread as resolved.

    Thank you
