• Hello,

I’m setting up my site at https://www.pate-argent.com and the problem is that for some reason none of my login links are getting me into the website. Both in the meta widget and in the top heading. They were working fine before, but when I logged out this last time well, that’s it. At first I was getting a message that my browser was not accepting cookies (which it is) and then I just started getting 404 error messages. After I kept trying to login in again and again, the login page just kept getting fed back to me. I also tried https://www.pate-argent/wp-login.php and that doesn’t work either.

I also noticed that when I tried to register as a new user, the page said I would receive an email, which I never did.

So, anyone have any ideas how I can log into my site when my login liks are no loger working? Using emergency.php didn’t help either so, it looks like I’m up a creek without a paddle. Help anyone? Thanks…

  • log in to your host’s phpmyadmin and browse the wp_users table
make sure there are no added admins – a sure sign of a hack
if not, do the password reset while you’re there

Thanks for the info samboll. I did exactly as you instructed and reset my password in phpMyAdmin, no problem.
But, when I went back to my site to login I get the error

ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.

Cookies are set to be acceptedso, tht’s not the problem. I have a feeling that my login buttons are not configured correctl and that’s why I some times get this “cookie” error, and then sometimes the login page just loops back around without letting me in. What does one do in this case? Do you think that using my backup restore in phpMyAdmin might fix this so I can at least get in and rest the variables for login? Thanks sam.

    Hello again Sam,

    I found this link here:

and after reading it I did as they said about changing plugins to plugins.old and trying to login. Well, it work. Now all I have to do is rest the plugins and find the nasty old plugin that is giving me problems. Thanks!
