• Hello. I’m creating a eCommerce site for a company that acts similarly to a pawn shop and they need to have every product kept on hold (not visible or able to purchase) for 12 days after they submit the item for sale to a leadsonline.com, a site that allows law enforcement to verify that items were not stolen. Would the WPC Product Timer for WooCommerce work for me in this case? Ideally, each new product created would start this timer and only after 12 days would it change it’s status to published, visible, for sale.

I look forward to your response.

  • Hi @timfurnish,

Yes, you can do that in our plugin.

If you need your product is in stock/purchasable/visible on a certain day, there are two ways of timer settings.

1/ The first way, if you are using the free version of our plugin, you can try to set up the following way:

Step 1: Open the Global Timers tab from the plugin setting under WPClever >> Product Timers. https://prnt.sc/155aqvs

    Step 2: Configure:
Source: Products >> Type in to find products & click to add.

Step 3: Set up date, time and action >> Update options.

Action: Set unpurchasable/out of stock/ invisible
Set Timer: Before date & time/ Before date v…

    Then Update options.

    Forexample: https://prnt.sc/1xkg8kw

2/ The second way which is not available in the free version of this plugin because it requires more than 1 types of actions.

Step 1: Open the Global Timers tab from the plugin setting under WPClever >> Product Timers. https://prnt.sc/155aqvs

    Step 2: Configure:
Source: Products >> Type in to find products & click to add.

Step 3: Set up date, time and action >> Update options.

    Action 1: Set unpurchasable/out of stock/ invisible
    Set Timer 1: Everyday

    Action 2: Set purchasable/ in stock/ visible
Set Timer: Daily Timer Range/ Daily Before Time v…

    Then Update options.

You can read our article to understand how to set up the rule of timers in our plugin. https://prnt.sc/1mnkdqe

Sadly, I cannot do what I need here in an efficient way. This requires having to the user to choose a specific day from the calendar for each product. It would be ideal if your list of Time Conditionals included “X days from now”, where the user just types in 12. (For 12 days from now). Is that there and I’m just missing it? If not, please include that functionality.

By law, we cannot sell a product until 12 days after we submitted it to a national database that tracks potentially stolen items.
