    Hi,
I have just started building my website using sliders responsive theme. I cannot add new plugins as the plugin screen has no instal new option. When I click on Network Admin to add a plugin from there, it just shows

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_current_screen() in /home/iampo638/public_html/wp-admin/network/settings.php on line 22

It worked at the start as I had to use that menu to get the new theme to work. How can I fix this as I am not good at understanding problems.

  • Did you make any big changes before this happened?

    Yes,
I uploaded a new theme into ftp. It still worked, I went into the site admin to activate the new theme. I then thought it may work for uploading other files, so I uploaded an image file through the ftp. After then its all stopped working. I have deleted the file from the Ftp folders, but its not made a difference.
    How to I rectify this?

    Hi,
Are you still able to help?

    Hello,
Did you have touched /wp-admin folder? The get_current_screen() function defined in /wp-admin/incudes/screen.php. Does the file exist?

No, I added the file to wp-content folder. I don’t think I touched the wp-admin folder.
Yes, that folder does exist, although I haven’t touched it, or even known it was there before.
All I did, was upload a folder called 2014 via ftp, and moved it so it would be in wp-content/uploads. I then deleted it once I realised it made no difference to the site.

It’s oddly. This error refers to the core of wordpress. I can’t say what happened without more information.
You may write me to [email protected] , I need to know what plugin you added and also ftp access.
