    Wordpress 4.8.1, Meta Slider 3.51

When I try to add or remove images to any slider, it just doesn’t work. Nothing happens at all. Just noticed it today.

Tried disabling the plugin and other troubleshooting tips but no lucl.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

Please could you open your browser’s developer console (F12 or CTRL+SHIFT+J in most browsers, then open the ‘console’ tab), and attempt to add/remove an image?

Do you see any warnings or errors in the console? Please could you send a copy of those messages?

Here’s a picture of the message (trying to copy/paste text breaks the formatting)

    Hi,

It appears that an internal server error is occurring.
Unfortunately, this is a general error that means that ‘something’ has gone wrong on the server.

Please could you ask your hosts to check the PHP error logs for the server/hosting account? These should have a record of the 500 error with more information as to the cause.

    Thanks for the reply,

Things seem to be back in working order now and the error is no longer occurring.

There may have been a server-side problem that has been fixed.

I’m going to leave this thread open for just another day or two (if that’s acceptable) to make sure the problem doesn’t re-occur, if it does I’ll check with the host and get back to you, if not I’ll close it.

Otherwise if you were interested in me checking with my host anyway to diagnose the problem for future users, I’d be happy to, but it will be a bit since HostGator is based in Houston, TX and they’re experiencing devastating flooding right now, affecting their staff availability.

    Hi,

It is possible that there was a temporary resource or overloading issue on the server.
As such, if the plugin is currently working, monitoring the site should be sufficient.
