Can no longer create or edit posts in WP site!

    When I try to create or edit a post in the site I maintain, in Safari 11.1.2, High Sierra 10.13.6. it takes me to a totally white, blank page!

    There hadn’t been any changes in several months, and it was working fine the last time I had to edit or post something. Tonight when I logged in, though, and needed to edit a post, this happened.

    I tried updating WP to 5.1.1, but it is doing the exact same thing. I emptied Safari’s caches and restarted. Same thing.

    This currently has rendered the site useless. Please help.

  • First, in your admin dashboard visit Users->Your Profile and make sure that the ‘Disable the visual editor when writing’ checkbox is unchecked. If it is, try installing the Health Check plugin

    Thanks very much for your help, @jarretc .

    I ended up installing WP Health, and it discovered that my hosting service had not updated from PHP 7.0 to PHP 7.2. I called and got that sorted out, and apparently that handled the problem.
