    Tobias,

Thanks much for creating and supporting TablePress. I think it is by far the most feature rich and best supported WordPress plugin for displaying table data.

I was in the back end viewing a table that had a column with no data in it. I clicked in the top cell of that column intending to delete the column and I’m not sure what I did next but all of the rows and columns disappeared. Ever since then whenever I click “edit” on this or the other table that is uploaded, the only thing I see is the table preferences – no rows and columns. All of the data is there (it displays fine on the front end pages) but I can no longer edit the rows and columns in the back end as I can’t see them.

Here is what I have tried:

    1. Everything listed in the first forum post “…before asking for support…” There are no errors in the Java console (just a lot of warnings – not sure if that is significant), nothing displays in debug mode, the problem persists with all other plugins deactivated and switched to default theme, etc.

    2. Uploaded a new copy of the table mentioned above but with the empty column not included to replace the existing one.

    3. Deactivated and reactivated TablePress plugins.

    4. Removed all custom CSS

Any idea what I might need to do?

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This sounds as if the “Table Content” section was simply minified or hidden accidentally.
Do you see the text “Table Content” in the middle of the screen? Then just click on that to expand the section again. If you don’t see that section, please click the “Screen Options” tab in the top right corner of the screen. You should then see some checkboxes with labels like “Table Content” or “Table Information” next to them. Please check if the “Table Content” checkbox is active there.

If that doesn’t help, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore in that case please create a temporary admin account for me and send me the details via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

That was it! I must have accidentally clicked the little upside down triangle in the right middle of the screen and collapsed the entire table content section. Can’t believe I didn’t see that. Thanks much!

    Hi,

yeah, this is a small usability issue I guess, as it’s not just the triangle that can trigger this, but the entire heading part of the section. So, it’s very likely that an accidental click triggered this. Good to head that everything’s working again ??

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
