• We have used both versions for many sites. This review is only for the free, per WP policies.

Causes far more problems than it fixes. 3.x versions have had conflicts with WP itself (text editor) and with numerous plugins.

Too much dashboard spam and what appear to be affiliate links.

Even for a free plugin, if you have a million plus users, you should at least do a little testing to make sure you do not screw up WordPress functionality and a few major plugins like WordFence.

Either use a different SEO plugin or an older 2.x version of this.

I think this should be forked by a group of responsible contributors.

    Hi Sonja,

sorry to hear you were having issues. We most certainly did not have issues with WordPress core but we did have issues with several other plugins, unfortunately. I wrote about the release and what went wrong in this post.

At the same time, I’d love to know what the problem you were having was, as otherwise it’s impossible to fix it, and thus your review ??

    Hi @summit,

Almost a year has passed since your review. Are you still using our plugin? If not, we’ve made a ton of changes to Yoast SEO and would like to invite you to give the plugin a new try.

If you want to learn more about the plugin before installing it, we feel our knowledge base is the best place to start.

    Thanks!
